Happy Wednesday babes.
I know that these past two weeks have been very trying for everyone. We are working from home, staying inside, not really having much contact with the outside world. I know that these times feel very uncertain, but it is important to take everything day by day. We should try and keep a positive mindset, and know that we will all get through this together.
New York State, and New York City, where I live, have been hit so hard. My sister and I came home just because we did not know what was going to happen next. It was hard to close up our apartment not knowing when we were going to come back, hopefully within the next week or so. This situation really allows you to take a step back and see what we take for granted – getting coffee on your way to work, going to the gym, seeing friends for dinner, being able to give someone a hug or hold someone’s hand. I miss being able to sit in the park and watch as spring begins to take life. My sister and I are extremely close to our grandparents, and we’ve had to stay away for fear of getting them sick.
While we all may be stuck inside, it is important to still keep up a daily routine. I still act like I am going to work in the morning, although I have been wearing cozy sweats some days. But I get up, workout, eat breakfast, get dressed, and sit at my desk, or on the couch hahaha. We have been taking daily walks just to get outside and get some fresh air and sunshine. Take this time to reconnect with loved ones, meditate, read that book that’s been sitting on your coffee table since August….(that would be me ha!) Our mom bought coloring books and games, so needless to say I have been feeling like a little kid, and I have colored about 5 different Disney princesses and lost a lot of games of Scrabble. And I’ve eaten way too many cookies.
I know we are anxious and feeling antsy, but we just have to keep taking this day by day. By no means am I saying that you can’t have a crappy day, or be angry, because I’ve had both. It is OKAY to get frustrated. We just have to remember to be gentle with ourselves, and to just breathe. We have to remember that we will be able to go back to work, eat out, see our friends and family. We will see the light at the end of the tunnel soon.
For today’s post, I will be sharing a comfy outfit that I have had on repeat over the past week and a half. Plus, it is tie-dye so that makes it even more fun and cheery.
Tie-Dye Sweatshirt – My sweatshirt is OOS, but I was able to find a similar one also from Target. I am wearing a size medium, as I wanted the fit to be oversized and comfy. Swap out workout leggings, or gym shorts, with a cute denim skirt or white shorts and you’re ready to go! Tie-Dye is the perfect addition for spring, and the print comes in so many different styles from clothing to accessories, you are sure to find the perfect fit for you.
This sweatshirt comes in sizes XS – XXL.
Workout Shorts – I am wearing a size small in black. Target has the comfiest workout gear! I usually am all Under Armour, but recently I have begun to really like Old Navy and Target workout clothes. They last just as long, and cost less money.
Ciao Bella Slip On – I am wearing a size 6.5. I typically wear a 7, but these shoes run big ,so I would go down a size or half size. I love Soludos shoes, they are so comfy and supportive. From sandals, to slip on’s, mules, etc. you are sure to find at least 5 pairs! Perfect for the summer.
They come in sizes 5 -11 as well as half sizes.
Have a wonderful and safe rest of the day.
