Windy Days in the City.

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful pre – holiday weekend. I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is almost here!ย  The weather has certainly felt like the winter over the past few days. It has been so windy here in the city that the temps feel like the 30’s! I swear last week is was 65 degrees, just crazy. This being said, I do believe we are supposed to have nice weather for the holidays. I am so excited to go home tomorrow and spend time with my family and friends. Plus, the beach is a perfect place to take fun pictures for the blog. While everyone is out on Black Friday at the Outlets, we will be sitting on the boardwalk watching theย  Christmas decorations go up. It is always so much fun to watch.

I will be sharing some of my favorite Thanksgiving looks on the blog this week, just in case anyone is still trying to figure out what to wear. Thanksgiving is always tricky because you want to dress up, but not be too dressed up. Save the fancy attire for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.PLUS, we want to remain comfy so we can eat as much turkey, stuffing, and pie as we want, without worry about our clothes not fitting properly. Besides, Thanksgiving is all about eating way too much, enjoying being with family, and the true meaning of Thanksgiving and the holidays.

Todayย  I will be sharing my comfy and sporty, yet chic, outfit to wear during the chilly and windy months ahead. I believe in mixing fun prints and patterns together. But, in order to do so, you have to make sure that your key pieces, such as your jeans or top, are a solid color. That way you can mix and match with accessories and shoes. My look today did just that. I started with a basic skinny jean (in black) and a long sleeve thermal (in grey) and matching vest. I then mixed in a fun hat, scarf, and shoes, to give the look a chic and girlie twist.

*Note:ย  when mixing patterns and textures be sure that they are within the same color wheel. This way you do not have too much going on and your outfit does not become a distraction to the eye.

JeansI am wearing a size 25 petite. These jeans are so comfy and they move with you, which is great for whatever activities you are planning for the day. They come in both Regular and Petite, as well as sizes 24 – 34. BONUS, if you subscribe and enter your email you will receive $25 dollars off your entire purchase.

Thermal TeeI am wearing a size small. I love thermals because they keep you warm, dry, and protected. Plus,ย  you can layer a sweater or sweatshirt, or in this case, a vest over-top and still be warm. These thermals come in sizes XXS – XL and in 6 different colors.

Vest I am wearing a small petite. These vests are SO COMFY!!! They come in sizes XS – XL and in petite, regular and tall. These fun vests come in 5 different colors.

BootiesBelieve it or not, these booties are actually for kids! However, they run big enough that I was able to buy them for myself. This being said, these boots are now being sold for women, but not online, only in the stores.

Old Navy is running a 40% off Black Friday pre – sale and no code needed. They also have a sale running through tomorrow where you will receive 50% off all outerwear and long sleeve tees.
