Happy Monday guys!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful here in the city, which I will gladly hold onto for as long as possible. I will take 60 degree days in November and for as long as mother nature will allow it. We also had the New York City Marathon yesterday which is always incredible to watch…on television of course. This city is crazy on marathon day! My sister and I went for a walk through Central Park on Saturday, which was all set up for the marathon. The fall has to be my favorite time of year in Central Park. I love to watch the color on the leaves change and see the sun sparkle off of the buildings that surround the park. It is just magical. Sometimes, I still have to pinch myself when I realize that I live in this incredible city. I am so blessed to have the opportunity and chance to live here. While I work very hard, it is just a blessing to live here.
I apologize that I was MIA a little bit last week. I had my very first business trip, which I am so excited to share with you! I left on Wednesday for our headquarters located in Rochester, NY, which I had never been to before. While it rained Thursday morning, heavily, the sun was shining bright by noon and it stayed sunny throughout the rest of my visit. We had our photoshoot on both Thursday and Friday, as we are getting ready to launch our 2017 collection! We have such incredible product coming your way. All of our items stand out and are so on trend. I know that all of our consumers are going to love our new products. It was so wonderful to meet everyone and see how everything comes together to make one incredible company. I love seeing what goes on behind the scenes and see how everyone works so beautifully together. Both of our photoshoots ran smoothly. Our models, photographer, stylist, etc. were all wonderful. I took some great shots, which I posted on our social media:Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and our blog which will be up later on today (be sure to check it out) @emersonstreetclothingco. While I have never been to Rochester before, I can say that the city and towns surrounding it are just beautiful in the fall. It was wonderful to meet a new community of people, as well as see some of my family which I haven’t seen in a long time. Getting together with my family made the trip even more special.
While last week was incredibly busy, this week will be just as busy as I have some other exciting things to share with you guys later on this week. I am also excited that in two short weeks, my sister and I will heading home for Thanksgiving!!! I have missed my family so much. While I see my mom and Steve often when they come to visit Meg and I, I have not been able to see my grandparents or some of my very dear friends. We all have busy schedules and work, but our grandparents have lived with us for 13 years and I have missed them terribly, so I cannot wait to see them. Plus there is something so peaceful and wondrous about growing up at the beach. I’ve always said that the beach is where you go to heal. It’s where I went after our father passed away, where I went after I had my tumor, and where I recovered after surgery. The beach heals you both physically and mentally and always reminds you that you always have a place to call home.
My outfit for the blog today is so comfy and easy to wear. You can dress it up or down, depending on what you will be doing for the day. I love how the dress, while loose fitting, also provides a good silhouette so that anyone of any size can wear it and feel confident, comfortable and chic. You can pair this dress with little ankle booties, like I did, and add a blanket scarf, a leather jacket or knit sweater and you are ready to go out to lunch, work, and dinner.
You can also go for a more casual and sporty look and pair the dress with sneakers, such as Keds or Converse, and pair it with a blanket scarf again or a jean jacket. You are set for running around for the day and even a casual lunch and dinner. This dress is all about movement. Whether you dress it up or down, you are able to move freely and feel good while being out and about.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday and enjoys this beautiful weather that we are having in most of the country.
Tee Shirt Dress – Sadly, my dress is no longer in stock. BUT I was able to find almost the exact same dress, except this dress has a shorter sleeve. This t-shirt dress comes in 5 different colors. It also comes in sizes XS – L and in petite, tall, and, regular. I am wearing a size small petite.
Blanket Scarf – I know, I know, I am obsessed with this scarf, but I had to share it again. It comes in 8 different colors, and if you sign up to receive their emails you will get 20% off your first purchase. All shipping is free.
Ankle Booties – I am wearing a size 7 and I had shared a link to a similar pair last week, as mine were no longer in stock. I know the boots shared last week were a bit pricey, so I did even more digging and I found another pair that is very similar. This pair is available for a very low cost! YAY! They come in sizes 6 – 10.
Oversized Cardigan – I am wearing a size S/M. This sweater is so incredibly comfortable and I could actually sleep in it, it is that cozy. This sweater comes in sizes S/M and M/L.
Cat Crossbody Bag – Obsessed with this bag.
