Happy Sunday!

Summer means barbecues, s’mores, family gatherings, and endless hours in the sun. I love the summer because it means late nights, countless laughs, and tons of food being eaten. When I was in high school I hated going to the gym! While I’ve always been slim and petite I’ve always wanted to keep up my stamina so that meant sweating it out at the gym. It wasn’t until I was in the Miss Delaware USA pageant in 2014 that I really began to focus on all the zones of my body. Unfortunately, during my training I injured my back and ended up with a slipped disc in my back and neck. While I still competed and did well, I was unable to really train in the gym. Together, my physical therapist and I  discovered exercises that allowed me to heal and I continue using them until this day. I can no longer use a lot of the equipment at the gym, so I just run on the treadmill and do my ab exercises.

But you do not need to go to the gym to stay health!, I have found so many exercises and workout routines through Pinterest as well as yoga exercises. They work just as well, if not better, than going to the gym 5 times a week. You can go at your own pace and you do not have to rush out of the house to get to the gym before or after work; it allows you to workout but also be able to enjoy the rest of your day. While I do enjoy going to the gym and eating healthy, I also love eating extra cheese pizza and french fries and that happens a least once…..sometimes twice a week.

I’ve always had a much larger chest. I’ve been the same bra size since I was 13 years old, and when I was younger I wasn’t confident with the way I looked. My chest was much larger than the rest of my body as I’m very tiny but I always felt like I needed to cover up. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to love my body, love who I am and embrace the changes that ALL of our bodies go through. We all come in different shapes and sizes and we are all beautiful. The key thing to remember is that we are all special and that its ok to eat a salad one day and the next eat a burger, french fries and an ice cream cone. Never deprive yourself of something because in the end you only hurt yourself. Love who you are!

Running sneakers – The webbed sole of the sneaker allows the foot to move naturally, which is great! I’m wearing a size 7.

Sunglasses – Obsessed with these sunnies as well.
